Excellent results again for IC6 students.
IC6 students and staff are once again celebrating some outstanding A Level and BTEC results.
IC6 students achieved a 98% per cent pass rate in their A level and BTEC examinations, with 79% per cent of exam entries achieving A*-C grades and 52% per cent of entries graded at A*-B.
More than half of vocational qualifications were at either Distinction (D) or Distinction* (D*) with numerous students achieving the highest-possible triple D*.
Through the support of the IC6 schools, teachers and tutoring programmes, IC6 will be sending a large number of students to universities, including those from the Russell Group of universities.
Two of Highbury Fields’ highest achievers were Safae and Nazli who both attained A*AA grades. Safae will now read history at University College London and Nazli mathematics at Bristol having turned down an offer of a place at Cambridge.
At Central Foundation Boys’ School Aiyah Mahmoud achieved an A* in Business Studies and 2 As in Economics and Sociology and will be going on to study Economics at Birmingham University.
Domenik Cleovoulou achieved an A in Biology and 2 Bs in Chemistry and Maths and has secured a place to study Pharmacy at University College London.
At Highbury Grove Almina Agus gained A*AB at A level and will now be heading to Southampton University to study History. Casseem Campbell gained A*AC and will read Economics at Sheffield University. Deronne White’s grades have gained him a place at the prestigious Royal College of Music.
Other students will be taking up sought-after apprenticeships including Liam Donaldson from Central Foundation who received a triple Distinction in BTEC Business who has been successfully placed in a banking apprenticeship at the Royal Bank of Scotland.
