We believe that being placed on the right course is fundamental to your success and our broad curriculum enables you to choose the right course. To help ensure your choice is correct for your chosen pathway we have a team of highly trained staff who will advise you on your enrolment.

Once enrolled your progress will be closely monitored to help you achieve your true potential; additionally there are four progress reviews a year with reports sent home and regular parents’ evenings.

You will be given a personalised programme and assigned a personal tutor who you will meet weekly. The tutorial programme is at the heart of the IC6 support programme providing both advice on your university and career options and full pastoral care.

We also use a variety of teaching approaches to match individual learning styles and smaller class sizes allow us to meet each student’s individual needs.

Students are encouraged to become independent workers and thinkers to enable them to take the next step in their advancement.

Students make full use of the excellent facilities, including the fully networked ICT systems at each site which are available before and after school.

Learning is also supported through the Bursary Fund which has replaced the Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) and outside agencies.
