To study Art and Design as part of a full A level programme you may need an average GCSE point score of 6 (B) including a score of 6 (equivalent to B) in Art GCSE (or a related subject). You will also need a minimum of grade 6 (B) in both Maths and English.
60% coursework, 40% controlled assessment. No formal written exam.
Students can go on to study courses such as Art Foundation (a one year pre-degree course) Architecture, Advertising, Fine Art, Graphics Communication, amongst others. Ex-students now work in Fashion, Architecture, Animated Gaming, Interior Design, Photography and Advertising and have progressed onto Universities including Goldsmiths and Leeds.
