Course Outline
18 units – equivalent to three A-levels
The course is equivalent to three A-levels and provides the knowledge, understanding and skills for young people who want a career as a business decision-maker.
This course is for students who are interested in learning about business and who would like to become part of the UK’s dynamic business culture. It is a practical course which will give you the skills for the world of work and help you to add value to business activities in any organisation.
You will complete projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands.
You will study four core units and 14 specialist units. The range of subjects offered includes business and management, creative product promotion, marketing, human resources, retailing, recruitment and selection, European business operations, managing teams and economic development.
Entry Requirements
Five GCSEs at grade C or above including English or Maths and minimum grade B in a related GCSE or a Merit grade in a Level 2 vocational qualification.
Assessment
All units are assessed via assignments. An overall grade for the qualification is awarded which has UCAS equivalence and is recognised by universities in the UK when establishing their entry requirements for higher education.
Progression
On successful completion of this course you will be able to progress to the HND in Business or a degree in business, marketing, finance or accounting at university or find employment working in a role using technology and business.
