Entry RequirementsTo study Fine Art as part of a full A level programme you may need an average GCSE point score of 6 (B) including a score of 6 (equivalent to B) in Art GCSE (or a related subject) as well as a minimum of grade 6 (B) in both Maths and English.
AssessmentOCR exam board: AS level = 100% Externally Set Assignment. Exam time = 10 hours (2 days).
A level = 60% Personal Investigation, 40% Externally Set Assignment. Exam time = 15 hours (3 days).
You will study 6 periods per week and are expected to contribute several hours per week of independent working.
ProgressionStudents go on to study courses such as Art Foundation (a one year pre-degree course) Architecture, Advertising, Fine Art, Graphic Communication and Illustration, amongst many others.
