IC6 will begin their enrolment on the day of the 2019 GCSE results on Thursday 22nd August.
If you have not yet applied for a place don’t be discouraged to come along to our open enrolment by simply turning up to one of the IC6 schools on the 22nd August or 23rd August to talk to one of our sixth form advisers about what IC6 can offer you.
Depending on your course requirements and achieved grades we may still be able to accommodate you on some of our courses. Although some courses are currently oversubscribed and priority is given to students already holding conditional offers, many students decide to change courses once they receive their actual results. This means that spaces on popular courses can frequently become available.
All schools will be open from 1pm until 4pm and you will need to bring with you your GCSE (and any other year 11 qualification) certificates as well as a form of identification (ideally your passport).
If you have already completed year 12 at another sixth form provider and wish to re-start your year 12 we also advise you to come along to the open enrolment with your previous certificates so that you can discuss the options available to you.
Entry Requirements
To follow a full A level programme you will need an average GCSE point score of 6 often including a score of 6 (equivalent to B) in that particular GCSE subject as well as a minimum of grade 6 (B) in both Maths and English. To calculate your score please visit out FAQ page: https://ic6.co.uk/about-us/faqs/
In addition to this each A level subject has particular entry requirement which can be found on each of the subject pages.
To follow a BTEC/Cambridge Technical programme you will need an average GCSE point score of 5 (equivalent to a C grade) often including a score of 5(C) in that particular GCSE subject as well as a minimum grade 5(C) in Maths and English.
Please note that each student is interviewed by a member of the sixth form leadership team before being offered a place at IC6. On occasion it may be possible to waive the entry criteria for a particular subject if the sixth form leader thinks it is necessary. If you have not attained the entry grades please contact IC6 and we will arrange for you to speak directly to a sixth form leader. For further information about enrolment please contact;
