As a student at IC6 you will find opportunities to become involved in all aspects of student life and contribute to the student voice that we value so much.
The many ways you can become involved include:
being an IC6 Student Ambassador or an IC6 Student Governor
participating in the IC6 Student Council
being involved in enrichment activities
taking part in IC6 educational trips
signing up to the IC6 Volunteer Mentoring Scheme
In addition to this, you will have the opportunity to use our Sports Facilities, including the gym and swimming pool, which has proven very popular in the last few years.
Trips to support the curriculum this year saw some of the A level Geography students brave the cold in the Lake District while others traveled over 3,500 miles to help charities in Ethiopia. Past trips have included visits to Lille’s historic winter market, the physicists visiting CERN in Switzerland, skiing trips to the Alps and a week in Cornwall at a specialist surfing school.
Each of the partner schools also develop links with local business and companies, which have resulted in events such as the Shed Records’ workshop where students had the opportunity to perform their own tracks for a real record company, whereas others were invited to spend the day at the House of Lords and witness the hub of British politics for themselves.
