For the last six years, Highbury Fields School has achieved a 100% pass rate at A level. This year, 89% of our Year 13 students attained A*-C grades in their A level courses, with 60% of all grades being B or above. Over a third of all results (35%) were at A* or A grade. Such sustained academic success means that our students are well equipped to continue their studies at university, with many of them doing so at prestigious Russell Group institutions.

Students who choose to study at Highbury Fields School will experience lessons that are engaging and interesting, taught by passionate teachers who are experts in their field. Such is the quality of learning and teaching at Highbury Fields, that the school is consistently one of the highest performing in Islington.

Highbury Fields is a small school with strong traditions and a long history of success. We have a calm and purposeful atmosphere in which our students fully engage in their learning and take pride in their achievements.

We have a very strong track record of good academic results, consistently above the national average, as well as exceptionally high progression rates to university. Our students’ performance is rigorously monitored to ensure that each has the best opportunity for personal success. Sixth form tutors hold regular 1 to 1 mentoring meetings with students throughout the year, to review progress and personal development.

We are a diverse community in which students from different backgrounds get on really well together. Relationships between students and staff at Highbury Fields are warm and mutually respectful; we place great importance on empowering our students to become contributing and assured young adults.

At Highbury Fields we take pride in the relationship students build with their tutors. Students show impressive maturity, both in their contribution to school life, and in their relationships with others.

Sixth form students at Highbury Fields follow a comprehensive tutorial programme consisting of study skills, Citizenship, PSHE, and UCAS support. This is complemented by visits from a variety of outside speakers, and trips, which are tailored to students’ academic needs.

Highbury Fields School has a separate sixth form study centre with IT access for work and research and students have access to the school library, which is stocked with a range of academic texts.

In November 2016 Highbury Fields School was judged by Ofsted to be Outstanding in each of the categories used under the current inspection framework.
